The Radiation Application Technology Center (RATC) has provided a contribution in the past ten years to the research and development of radiopharmaceutical medicines relevant to the oncology, brain, and myocardial diseases. Its progress and results achieved have been keeping at the same pace with those advanced labs in the word.

We are establishing preclinical molecular imaging facilities and technologies for Radiopharmaceuticals R&D applications. Moreover, special designed non-invasive image systems and imaging analysis methods are developed to help new drug discovery/development.
Planar Tomography Reconstruction - using two-head detectors to obtain 3D images without rotating the detectors and the subjects being scanned.

 

Radiation Application on Medicine, Agriculture, and Industry
Irradiation technique can not only be used on the sterilization of medical materials, but also agricultural plant growth treatment, electronic component polymerization, it can be used on the communal waste and mire sterilization.
The radiation sterilization on the disposable medical supplies is a nontoxic, no temperature effects method. It can be said as a green and environment friendly technique.
Through the cooperation of INER and Taoyuan District Agricultural Research and Extension Station in the radiation mutation research, it had succeeded in producing two local X’mas flowers.
