That the Institute
of Nuclear Energy Research (INER) is primarily a government-funded
research institute in Taiwan. Our organization has been
the sole national laboratory for carrying out nuclear
energy-related researches over the years under the supervision
of Atomic Energy Council, Executive Yuan. However, due
to the nuclear-free homeland policy of our country, currently
the main research focus of our organization has been redirected
toward the developments of renewable and environmentally
friendly energy technologies, e.g., high-concentration
photovoltaic(HCPV) solar cells, wind power, cellulose-derived
bio-alcohol, advanced SOFC, sustainable IGCC, etc. |
